The above quote from Charles Bukowski pretty well sums up what we are looking for. That said:
- Your submission may be electronic or on paper. Any specially formatted poems (poems which do not follow the left margin down the page in a straight line) should be formatted in Word and sent as an attachment. If you would like to submit on paper, please email submissions@milkpoetrymagazine.com and request the mailing address.
- If you send your submission on paper and would like it returned to you, you must include a stamped self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage.
- Your submission must include your name, current mailing address and current e-mail address.
- No prose – poetry only.
- Poems must not have previously appeared in print. (Online poetry magazines, blogs, etc., are okay).
- No simultaneous submissions of the same poems to other publishers. This will result in your work being permanently banned from future issues.
- Any subject is fair game.
- Please limit submissions to 5 poems per issue. You are welcome to submit to as many issues as you like.
- Submissions may be held for future issues as deemed editorially necessary.
- No literary criticism will be provided.
- Payment is in contributor’s copies.
